Traditional Chimichurri Sauce

  • 1 cup fresh parsley leaves
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste


Step 1: Prepare the Herbs

  • Rinse the fresh parsley leaves under cold water.
  • Pat them dry with a paper towel.
  • Finely chop the parsley Set aside.

Step 2: Mix the Ingredients

In a medium-sized bowl, combine the minced garlic, red wine vinegar, extra virgin olive oil, dried oregano, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper.
Stir well to thoroughly mix the ingredients.
