  • 1 cup fresh parsley leaves
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons capers, drained
  • 2 anchovy fillets (optional)
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste


Step 1: Make the dressing

In a food processor or blender, combine the fresh parsley leaves, fresh basil leaves, capers, anchovy fillets (if using), minced garlic, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper.


Pulse or blend until the ingredients are well combined and the salsa verde has a smooth consistency. Adjust the seasoning to taste.
