Coffee Rub

A coffee rub adds a unique and rich flavour profile to your meat dishes, and Range Meats’s coffee rub is no exception. With a blend of aromatic spices, earthy coffee, and a touch of sweetness, this rub enhances the depth and complexity of meats like brisket.   • 2 tbsp black peppercorns
  • 4 tbs coriander seeds
  • 2 tsp fennel seeds
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbs smoked paprika
  • 1 tbs cayenne papper
  • 2 tbsp ground coffee
  • 2 tbsp ground ginger
  • 4 tbsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tbsp muscovado sugar


Step 1: Dry roast spices

In a hot pan, toast the peppercorns, coriander seeds and fennel seeds until they start releasing their aroma. Be careful not to burn the spices.

Step 2: Blend together

In a mortar and pestle, or blender, combine the ingredients and blend until the rub has an even consistency

Step 3: Store

You rub will keep for 6 months in an airtight container.
